Trucks spend as much time being kept ready as they do out on calls.

How a call goes.

Nothing surprising here, which is the point. Knowing the shape of it makes the wait easier.

  1. Get somewhere safe first.

Off the travel lane if you can manage it, hazards on, and stay belted in the vehicle rather than standing on the shoulder. Then call.

  2. Give the four things.

Location, vehicle, whether it rolls and steers, and whether you have the key. That is enough to pick the right truck and load it correctly.

  3. Say where it is going.

A shop, your home, or the yard on Popps Ferry Road. If you are not sure yet, say so, because that changes the answer.

  4. Ask what it will cost before the hookup.

No prices appear anywhere on this site. Ask on the phone, ask again when the driver arrives, and get the number before the vehicle is on the deck.

Things this page will not tell you.

Because we could not verify them, and a website that guesses at these is worse than one that stays quiet.

  • Hours Whether the phone is answered around the clock is not something we could confirm from an official source. Call and ask.
  • Service area The authority on file is interstate, which is a legal classification and not a promise about how far a truck will run. Ask where they will come to.
  • Heavy recovery Listed in directories, not established by any record we checked. Describe your vehicle and ask directly.
  • Rotation and impounds Whether they run a police rotation, and whether they do private property impounds, is not on the public record. Ask if it matters to your situation.
  • Payment Which cards or methods are taken is worth settling on the phone rather than at the roadside.
